This feature is quite useful for protecting data or removing traces of chats that we don’t want others to see. If you don’t know how to do it on WhatsApp.
Mark message as unread:
Removing the blue mark from the chat is quite simple, you just have to follow the steps below:
For Android you have to click on Settings, then on Account, Privacy, Messaging and once here we will disable read receipts.
In the case of iPhone, the steps to follow are Configuration, Account, Privacy and we will deactivate Read Receipts.
DO NOT save photos:
Often, due to space problems, we cannot save all the images that come to us in our chats with the people we interact with, so here we show you how to disable the automatic recording of images.
Open WhatsApp.
Tap More options > Settings > Discussion.
Turn off visibility of media files:
Click on the name of the desired user.
At the top right, tap on the three dots.
Enter to see the contact.
Scroll down to the Temporary Messages section
And selecting this option will be more than enough for the messages to self-destruct.
Flag the message.
This is a very useful function to record important messages:
Touch and hold the message you want to highlight with your finger.
At the top of the WhatsApp bar, you will see a star icon, you need to tap on it and the message will be highlighted automatically.
To see your favorite messages, go into your chats and tap on the three dots at the top right.
Select the «favorite messages» option and it will automatically take you to your favorite messages.
Change writing:
Bold: write between *
Strikethrough: write between ~
Italics: write between _
Set tone to each contact:
You must give him the option of Contact information and you give him the option of Customize notifications, you only enable the tab and you can select the ringtone that you like the most.
